You may have up to three categories
of options available for the customer to choose from for each product.
In other words, if one of the items your are selling on the web is snaglerocks,
you may have the following categories of options: Size, Color, and Fuzziness.
The customer may choose to order a large, blue, fuzzy snaglerock.
You also have the option of including
an input field with each product. You specify the label for the field.
This will allow you to have a form where the customer can enter a model
number or anything else that you require.
There is also optionally a form
where they can enter their e-mail address and password if they have
ordered from you before and chosen a password. Entering this info will
pull all their contact info from the last order and pre-populate the
form asking for their billing and/or shipping info. This facilitates
repeat orders. However, this feature is optional and can be turned off
if you don't want to ask your customers to enter a password.
Payment
Options
There are a number of payment options
available. The options include the following:
Option 1: The customer enters
their credit card info through a secure web form. You are then e-mailed
their order, along with their name and the expiration date of their
credit card. You then login to a secure web page, enter your password
and the order number, and you are given the customer's credit card number
through a secure server. You can then manually enter the credit card
information for processing.
Option 2: Instead of having the
credit card information sent to you, and you manually entering the transaction,
you may opt to process the credit card automatically and in real time
through Authorize.net, the most robust and widely used credit
card transaction gateway on the Net. Once the customer's card is authorized,
you are then e-mailed their order. To find out more about the Authorize.net
transaction gateway, click
here.
Option 3: You can choose to have
the customer pay through PayPal. The customer will choose products
per normal. Once complete, they are then given the option to pay through
PayPal. When they click on the PayPal payments button, they will be
taken to your PayPal web-accept form. When they have completed the PayPal
transaction, they click on Continue and the order is processed.
Option 4: You may choose to allow
your customers to mail you a check or money order through the postal
service. The customer is given your mailing address and the order is
sent on to you. You may choose to wait for the check to clear before
filling the order.
Option 5: You can use the LinkPoint
gateway by Card Service International to accept credit cards.
In each case, the customer is
automatically sent a receipt of the order through e-mail and will be
given your e-mail address to contact if a problem should arise.
Along with the order, you will
be given the customer's name, e-mail address, and, where appropriate,
shipping address and credit card info.
A record of each order is kept
in your database, which you may review at any time by logging into your
account profile.
If you are not currently accepting
credit cards on your web-site, and would like to, we can set you up
with your own merchant account. There is no application fee and nearly
98% of all applications are accepted. To

Shipping
The system is capable of handling
sales tax, when applicable, as well as shipping. The following
shipping options are available:
You also
have the option to offer add-ons to the shipping for things like Next
Day Air or international.
Shipping Management
The system also supports
management of what has or has not been shipped. You can log in to your
Order-It account and view a list of all orders that are waiting to be
shipped. When you ship each order, you click a check box for that order
to mark it shipped and have it taken off the list.
Downloadable
Products
Basic support is provided
for downloadable products. You can enter a URL for each product entered
for it to be downloaded from your site. This URL will be included in
the e-mail receipt that the customer gets after the order is successfully
completed.
Sales Report
You can enter any
time frame and run a sales report for the specified period to list all
sales and how much your total profit was for the period. The report
will also show if and when an item was shipped if using the shipping
management feature.
Promotional
Codes
Coupons
You can enter an unlimited number
of promotional codes that the customer can enter to receive any discount
you specify, either a percentage discount or a dollar discount if order
is over a specific amount.
Recurring
Billing
If you are using the Authorize.net
gateway, the system supports recurring billing management. You are able
to specify the recurring billing period for each product individually.
Thus, if some subscription based products are charged once a month,
while others are once a week, you can specify this. You are able to
list all current subscriptions and see which have been cancelled. You
are also notified upon cancellation of a subscription or if the billing
for the period resulted in an error of some sort.
Comments
You also have the option to allow
customers to enter any comments as well as how they found your site
and have that info passed on to you.
